It is very simple why Motors TV shows it only in UK.

In Germany Premiere owns the rights for the FIA-GT and they give it to the partner-channel DSF.

Like I see on the TV Guide from the FIA-GT there isn't a channel that have the rights for the live coverage in UK. Now Motors TV bought the rights for UK. But they can't buy the german rights because they are alredy selled to Premiere.

I think we are getting about 10 hours of coverage.

Can be true, but in Belgium for instance there isn't a single channel which owns the rights for the FIA GT series, so why can't we have live coverage as well.  I'm very disappointed that the international viewers once again are left in the cold.

For shure it's disappointing but I think they couldn't do anything. I think the rights different in different countrys. But I think in germany the rights are complete at the DSF or maybe at Premiere. Both channels are workings together sometimes and 2 years ago, Premiere showed FIA-GT live and the DSF only in highlights.
Maybe we can get FIA-GT live for 2009. I hope Motors is working on it because in germany the situation for the next year is very difficult.

Hi All,

It's a pity that Motors TV isn't showing the LMES or the FIA GT race in full, as they are switiching between the two, and some FIM bike racing.

Why not show one live, and the others tape delayed?

Regards,

Darren

Maybe because the bikes have more viewers or bring in more money than the FIA GT or LeMans Series.

And even though Audi participated in this seasons LMS, the series still is not as exciting as its American counterpart. I do not know why, maybe it is the lenght of the race.

Although I enjoy the 12 hours of Sebring, a full live coverage of the 24h race at LeMans or 10 hours of Petit LeMans. But those are just three races. One at the beginnig of the season, one in the middle and one close to its end.

The six races of the LMS are all within 6 months; meaning every month you hang out one full afternoon in front of the tube. And six hours is a long time, especially if one is in a relationship. ;-)
