Guys, this weeks Autosport mag is worth buying. Apparently it has the truth about the Monaco GP, what actually went on.
Autosport are never usually biased towards a driver, so it will be worth buying. I ceratinly will....
And remember Autosport isn't a stupid newspaper, there a specialist motorsport magazine.

The front cover is a bit 'sensationalist' but the inside, as normal is very fair and factual reporting. But pretty much goes over what we know. Mclaren would have been stupid to let their drivers race hard against each other at a place like Monaco, Autosport understands that because they're specialist pro journalists, Monday morning tabloids aren't! Personally I think the best man on the day won.

Good stuff (both) Matt's for buying Autosport. I buy it a few times a month. It's a great read.

I never buy it, I listen to midweek motorsport instead (archeive here www.0157.org) for a motorsports fan it's a must imo. I should add it take them a week or two to get the archives up.

Not much. Autosport is, in my opinion, a waste of time. Concentrates on F1 and Rallying and doesnt care about anything else. Means that those of us involved in more grass roots motorsport struggle like mad to get recognition because of their reluctance to cover it.
Crash.net is the definitive motorsport website, imo, and Motorsport News the publication of choice!
Oh, and some of the 'journalists' dont have talk some crap in Autosport!!!

Well, I think Autosport is fantastic.
The thing is, is that Autosport has to do in depth anlaysis of stuff which the wider audience is interested in (F1, DTM, WRC etc) to increase magazine sales.
They could report more on grass roots motorsport, but then there sales would drop because it has a much narower audience and interest. Remember they have to survive, and in order to that they are forced to reoport extensively on popular forms of motor racing.

Well no, because i know an awful lot of people involved in grass roots stuff that are sick and tired with it. Increasing grass roots coverage, and coverage of ALL motorsports including things like NASCAR etc, would increase there sales because there is soemthign for everyone, rather than now where it is focused on 1 or 2 main sports that, although popular, are jsut a small small part of a much larger sport.
Its a bit like a magazine that claims to be a football magazine of choice covering only the premiership and only giving a small page or 2 for all the other leagues (of which there are loads!)

I get your point, maybe they should cover more motorsport? But it's still a great magazine.
NASCAR doesn't get a big following over here, so that doesn't really matter.
On autosports website, I'd like them to mention things like the Formula BMW, Formula Renault, Renault Cilo Cup etc. Not just top series, but for me that's a small flaw really.
