Images of this week's F1 launchs are in and the jury is still out. Just what do you all make of the first crop of 2009-spec machines? BMW reduced most of the motorsport fraternity to rolling around on the floor in fits of laughter at the back end of last year but have Ferrari and McLaren pulled off the unthinkable - a car that can overtake, be overtaken and at least look halfway decent at the same time? I mean, obviously the new Toyota is a dog's dinner but what about Maranello and Woking's lastest efforts? For those whose memory needs a jog, here's a few pics. Just don't look at the Toyota for too long...

good,not looking,ugly
It's the front and rear wings that are the reason why they look ugly.
But the Mclaren has style because the men at woking know how to make a good looking car.

I don't think F1 2009 is as bad as everyone was expecting. OK the cars look a little different, but people said things like this back in 1998 at the last rule change.
We'll get used to it, the cars will once again start to evolve and in 2010 we'll wonder what all the fuss was about!

The lines on the cars look alot smother on the eye as you do not have various aerodynamic aids sticking up every which way possible on the car, but I am not a big fan or the smaller rear wing it makes it look at Formula 3 car, but it may the cars slide around a bit more which would be nice to see and the KERS will be interesting to see how it pans out.
