This weekend the F1 circus heads off to Interlagos, Sao Paulo Brazil for the final round of the 2007 FIA Formula One World Championhip.

Of course, we have a mightly championship battle on our hands, either Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Rakkionen or Fernando Alonso could be crowned champion. This will therefore make the race a thrilling spectacle.

The Autodromo Carlos Pace itself is an extremely challenging circuit. Bumpy, off camber, plenty of elevation and overtaking places, most notably turn 1 and turn 3. We have seen great moves pulled off here in recent years.

To smoothen things out, the Interlagos has been resurfaced. Meaning the teams will have at adapt to this change in setting the cars up.

The FORMULA 1â„¢ Grande Prêmio do Brasil 2007 will be run over 305.909 km, 71 laps. The circuit length is 4.309 km, lap record 1:11.473 set by JP Montoya in 2004.

Remember, you can watch highlights of practice 1, and live practice 2 on TVU at 17:00 this Friday. Qualifying will be shown on ITV4, and the race on ITV1.

Enjoy! :D

So heres something.

Kimi is leading with 5 laps to go, Massa 2nd, Kubica 3rd, Heidfeld 4th, but the 2 mclaren's having a mate, with Alonso 5th and Hamilton 6th, meaning Kimi wins the title.

Do you think McLaren ask Alonso to pull over and let Hamilton into 5th to give him the title? Do you think Alonso would listen? Would the FIA like that?

We shall see!

Oh dear, interesting situation LessThanSte! [eek]

I don't think Mclaren will, although they might dislike Alonso, I doubt they would tell him to move over. Alonso would refuse anyway!

I like Kimi, and would be pleased to see him win the title, but of Hamilton would be the ultimate for me! ;)

This weekend I think a lot will depend on if one team has a performence advantage on this track. If so I think Hamilton won't be taking any chances after last week, which may lead to a less interesting race as finishing in pairs would suit him well enough. Last year, Ferrari were very fast here but that could have been down to tyres, I hope its closer this year.

This year's Ferrari does have a longer wheelbase than last year's car, that could really hurt them in the tight, twisty infield section.

Mclaren would do that, but Alonso wouldn't ::)

Theres also the fact that this years ferrari doesn't seem to suit the really soft bridgestone compounds that are getting taken to interlagos this year...

Great news, Lewis is finally thinking about the championship. :D

He says he wants to beat them all and win it, rather than play the percentage game.

Yup, the softer Brigestone certainly doesn't suit the Ferrari.

When the super soft tyre was used (Monaco, Canada and Hungry) Mclaren beat Ferrari, not looking good for Kimi's championship hopes...

good point and St3Matt too, also the Ferrari cant handle the kerbs too well either (Monza the prime example) and Interlagos has got the nicest kerbs!
This year will definatley be a close Finale, as for the situation im sure Alonso would tell 'em to swivel! and then Kimi would stroll to a win!!!
Forza Ferrari and Kimi!!!

That's also another good point, at Brazil riding the kerbs is essential. Which the Ferrari F2007 simply doesn't like, Monza is a great example of this.

I would be happy if Kimi took the title this weekend. I know he was asleep at the start of the year, but recently his performances have been brilliant.

NEWS ALERT!

Hamilton's Merceces-Benz engine will have 10 hp more than Alonso's, because he has a brand new engine for Brazil: http://www.manipef1.com/news/2007/index.php?id=1935

I've worked this out in British terms, this means Hamilton will have roughly 5 more bhp than Alonso this weekend.
It could be crucial.

But we are going to have a wet practice, qualifying and race this Sunday: http://www.manipef1.com/news/2007/index.php?id=1936 [eek]

Hamilton is ace in the wet, just look at Fuji!
:D

So is Button, who appears to be praying for rain.

Yup Button is another good driver in the wet, not at Fuji though. Because of his collision with Heidfeld and reliabilty issuses.

Button will want to finish the season off in a good way!

I just hope that Barrichello can score a point at least.

This will be the first time in his career he had gone a whole season without scoring.
