Might be going to the DTM at Norisring this July, just wondering if anyone here has been to this round, and if so, what can you expect? I/e Good places to sit / stand, and prices? Their site lists ticket prices so that's ok, but im on about if it's cheaper to buy food at the venue or not?

Thanks.

Norisring is an experience not to be missed - usually fabulous weather, the biggest and most enthusiastic crowds you'll come across, and all set in the heart of one of Germany's most historic cities.

If you're into history, it was the site of the Nazi Nuremburg Rallies of the 1930s, and the track is set around the steintribunes - the massive stone grandstands - where Hitler took the salute of the massed SS, Wermacht and Panzer divisions.

Today's racing makes the most of the facilities, with spectators in those stands and the free-access paddock among around tree-lined lakes. Buy food at the track - it's typically Bavarian - and stay in the cheap B&Bs or hotels throughout the city. Everything is a tramride or walking distance away.

And the racing is superb - real street-fhgting.

that's great, thanks.

would you reccomend buying tickets beforehand, or at the gate? (seeing as the crowds last year were quite high)

Hi Folks

as far as I know the Noris Ring DTM Race is frequently sold out.
So to buy tickets on friday could be very difficult
