Yeah its reached that time, abit later than usual but im sure alot of it has been delayed due to the spygate saga and teams kind of beating around the bush to try and get their drivers waiting mainly to see the outcome of Alonso which im sure will trigger off the rest of the market!
Firstly the teams that are confirmed:

BMW - Heidfeld and Kubica
Honda - Button and Baz
RBR - the golden oldies
Toro Rosso - Bourdais and Vettel
Super Aguri - Davidson and Sato (not been confirmed but im sure it wont change)
the rest of the grid is an unknown?
We have heard rumours with Alonso (likley to depart Mclaren) and then Massa has been mentioned too with Toyota.
And it seems like the end of the road for some (Wurz, Ralf and Fisico)

So speculate speculate and speculate some more!

Adrian Sutil has again been in the news been linked with a drive outside of Spyker (which he fully deserves).
It seems so far that he has been linked most obviously with Williams and Toyota if it was to be one of those teams. Williams Wurz i think has had his last stint or Nico if he is off) And Toyota will be straight in for Ralf!
But it has been said there are several teams???
Personally i feel it would be a good move for Spyker as the team have just changed hands and the money that Sutil could generate could greatly benefit them!

If Massa goes to Toyota and Alonso to Ferrari, Sutil would probably go to McLaren.

I think Alonso has slowed down the whole F1 driver market.

Now teams have heard that Alonso isn't happy at Mclaren, a few must now want him. So they are waiting to see what is happening. This is bad for golden oldies like Fisi and Ralf, who's future in F1 looks very fragile - they probably want a new contract as soon as possible.

I think Sutil would be great in the Mclaren, it would be superb!

Yeah sav is spot on with Alonso with his impact on the market, im sure once his futre is made clear the rest of the market will get underway (Which im sure we havent heard about Fisico leaving as Flavio is praying for Alonso to come back!)
As For Sutil going to Mclaren i dont think that would happen straight away largley as it is a fairly big gamble and a big step. Don't get me wrong i feel he could most definatley do the Job (and Hamilton would back Sutil chances) However i would think He would go to a midfield team (my main guess being Toyota) so that he can prove himself of scoring points in a reliable car but not the most competative, however not williams as i think Piquet has that seat.
Frankly if anyone will going Mclaren i feel it will be Nico, it helps with his dad knowing big Ron and a german team with a german driver is very appealing (also with sutil). Personally (ive said it many times) I would kill to have Nico at Ferrari i feel he is one of the best drivers on the grid!

TBH

If Ralf or Fisi have offers i'd accept them now even if they are with the tail enders

:iagree:
Too right!

The man with an arse for a face (Flavio) has spoken ou about his late decision on the line up.
http://www.totalf1.com/view-article.php?newsid=228330

Asked about the 26-year-old's seemingly untenable relationship with McLaren boss Ron Dennis at present, Italian Briatore told Sport Auto: "That is healthy neither for the team nor the driver.

"We have our own way of dealing with drivers. With us, Fernando simply got along well. Perhaps that is what is missing with him at McLaren."

Renault's 2008 driver lineup is now long overdue, and Briatore said he is still not ready to give anything away.

"We are a little bit late," he admitted, "but I am not in a hurry either.

"At the moment we are still considering what the best driver formation for us will look like."

any more obvious Flavio?

Flavio just loves Alonso, he doesn't care how he sounds.

Like Scuderia says, Rosberg has much more chance of going to Mclaren than Sutil. Because Rosberg is scoring points on a consistent basis.

I think Toyota could be interested in Sutil, but that's probably it. :(

I would laugh if Alonso went to Renault and Kovvy wiped the floor with him.

Flav would then get shitty with Alonso like he has done with Fisco/Trulli in the past.

That could actually happen, who's to say that Alonso would automatically beat Kolavalinen?

Mr Kovy is getting faster and faster...

Exactly, Kovy is slightly faster than Fisco, and so was Alonso.

Alonso had the benefit that it wasn't his first year and he had experience.

Kovy is whupping Fisco's arse straight out the box.

Kovy could be a real ballache for Alonso.

This could result in a complete breakdown for Alonso.

Too right Sav!
Heikki has improved so much over the space of this year he has just grown and grown in every race!
He could beat Alonso no doubt and as we have talked about before, if they were to team up next year with the no TC Heikki will have an upper hand. And we could well see Alonso spitting out his dummy pt 2!
However im Sure Flavio would do anything to make his little Alonso happy!

Perhaps they'd consider a driver swap... Heikki in return for Fernando... McLaren seems to be relatively successful with Finnish drivers...

I don't know about Flav, he is all love and kisses with his drivers when they are performing, but when something starts going wrong for them, he craps on them.

Look at Kovy at the beginning of the year. He was calling him all names under the sun.

Flav is unhinged. Alonso should take this into consideration.
