Yeah, that does seem to be the case.
Although Toyota have more than enough money...

Flabio buys out the rest of Nanado's contract from Mac - Mac use the money to pay part of the FIA fine - Nando goes back to Renault, Fisi goes to Toyota? Hamilton and who for McLaren?
Im with you on that Marathon!
I can really see that happening with Ralf leaving his seat, i think either Fisi (which toyota like a race winner...not convincing to you and eye but toyota yes) or frankly i think Timo might fill that seat after all it is a german based squad and with a German driver it would be a good deal!
I agree with Sav on the point of Nakajima, toyota dont need any big sponsored drivers to come in, Frankly he could possibly get the williams seat which he is testing, but im sure that seat is Piquets!
and as for Mclaren im not sure who would fill that seat, i would say Nico
would go there but Frank seems addiment that he wont let him go!
Spyker will remain with sutil and most definatley and Indian second driver most likley Narain or Chandook

Nakijima simply won't have a successful GP career, just look how erratic he is in GP2?
Not only his wild oversteering, but the silly moves he makes. As an F1 team owner, I wouldn't evenm consider him.
As far as I'm concerned, only Glock is worthy for an F1 drive from this years GP2 grid.

Jsut a few thoughts:
Timo Glock at Toyota
Heikki Kovalainen / Fernando Alonso swap?
But it would be nice to see Nico alongside...sorry...#2 behind LH
And if 2008 is a wet season, the only Seb anyone will talk about will be Vettel...too bad he took his off the pirze because it could have been the upset of the century.

Well Glock at Toyota seem likely, however is that the best move for Mr Glock?
I certainly wouldn't want to drive an un-compeitive Toyota...
Kovy is doing a superb job, I reckon he would beat Alonso if they were teamates. Kovy is getting faster and faster race by race, he's the future.

I can't see Heikki going Mclaren...nah!
As for Glock going to Toyota i think its a great move for him, yes they are not that competative, but look at Nico at Williams. Last season he must of been absoultley hating and this season a car that has been relativley competative sometimes unreliable but look he is the talk of the paddock and im sure it could be the same with Toyota. Surley with the many more millions they will pump in next season they have got to improve (i dont think they will) but if he can bang in some performances A-LA Nico style im sure he will be on his way to bigger and better things.
Also you have to look how limited it is to get a drive in Formula 1, if Timo was to turn it down and think he can get a better deal than he is sadly mistaken!
As for the Mclaren seat that maybe vacant the only candidate that seems suited is Nico i honestly cant think of another driver on the grid that should be in that seat!
P.s. he should be in a Ferrari one though

Surely I can't be the only who thinks that Toyota should shell out the big bucks and try and get Alonso in their car for 2008. Alright the car might struggle initially but with Alonso's input I'm sure Toyota would make bigger strides than they are doing at the moment and might finally start to make some progress at last.
If Alonso leaves McLaren, which is a definite imo, then I reckon either Kovalainen or Rosberg would be ideal replacements, although I reckon someone like Davidson might be worth a more optimistic punt if Ron is feeling adventurous at contract time.

The main problem with Toyota is the personel inside the team! They really need to have a clear out and get some good quality in like new engineers/strategists/aero! They have the funds but that is what they lack, they have had the drivers to do it Ralf was more than capable if he had a competative car, he did it in a Williams and we know Trulli could do it also
As much as Alonso would like the money the prospect of Toyota is a no no, yes he could put input towards the team but his alone would not be enough to change the team!

Nico looks set to be on his way to Mclaren possibly! (as i said he would...unfortunatley)
And of all people who you would least expect it was Bernie Ecclestone who has advised to take on Nico as Alonso's replacement if he was to go!
"If Alonso goes, I would pick Rosberg," F1's chief executive is quoted as saying by the German news agency 'sid'.
"He speaks German and, in every other regard, would be a perfect fit."
Ecclestone, 76, revealed at Fuji Speedway that he has been "told" that Alonso switching to Ferrari in 2009 - after a sabbatical - is a possibility.
Spaniard Alonso, however, ruled out missing next season, but admitted that the Ferrari option is also not likely.
"I don't have any news about Ferrari," he told the Spanish radio station Cadena SER after the Japanese grand prix.
22-year-old Rosberg, however - although under contract to Williams also for next year - seems keen on the idea of replacing him.
"Like Ferrari, they are a great team with much history," he said of McLaren. "One day, I would gladly drive for them.
Rosberg also insisted that he would get along well with potential teammate Lewis Hamilton, after they were teammates in their go-karting days.
Mercedes' Norbert Haug commented: "Nico is very much an impressive driver, who in the last two years with Williams has learned a great deal."
There has also been rumours of Ralf going too Merc.....hmmm i doubt it!

Exactly Willy im dead with you on that! I suspected this after i read his interview i put it in the Ralf thread:
http://www.motorstv.com/forum2/viewtopi ... 3&start=15
After what he has said it fits the Prodrive seat perfectly, with Pedro more than likley being ousted due to his part in the spy saga.

Honestley Sav if Alonso goes, i cant think of any other driver that would be suitable for Mclaren! Nico is perfect for the mand all the points i could mention Bernie mentioned...oddly enough! Nico is amongst the top 5 drivers on the grid!
ALTHOUGH... I WANT TO SEE HIM IN SOME RED OVERALLS!!!
(in a none gay way that is, just thought id clear that one up!)
