Better than running than running at the back and getting beaten by your much less-experience teamate.

Which is what happened last year at Renault, and will happen again this year..

ahhhhh my my Fisi has just made me laugh my ass off! [lol]
he has had an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport and.....

Giancarlo Fisichella says he didn't consider any options outside of Formula One before securing a deal with the Force India team.

The Roman driver, turning 35 on Monday, was one of several candidates to land the second racing seat at the Silverstone-based squad alongside German Adrian Sutil.

Fisichella, left without a drive following his exit from Renault, said Formula One was the only option he considered.

"It's not the money. Here I get less money than at Renault, but I still want to be an F1 driver, so I didn't even consider the possibility of switching series or retire," the Italian told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Fisichella, who left Renault after three years, admitted he was disappointed with the French squad.

"Yes, very much, especially because of the many years together. The winning car they promised never came," added Fisichella, who said his deal with Force India is for two years.

"At the test in Barcelona and Jerez we were six or seven candidates for a drive. I went quick and they chose me. I've signed for two years."

The veteran driver also said he expects to have number one status at his new team.

"I'm the reference point, the number one driver, thanks to my experience. Sutil comes after that."

Are we missing something there Fisico.....you say you never had a winnign car at renault........ I guess i must of imagined 2005/2006 ::)

Poor Fisi, he is hiding the actual truth. Alonso completely thrashed him both years, he had a winning car yet he only won two races in both years.

A very poor showing, he got beaten again by his teamate last year, but even worse that was a rookie. And now he will get thrashed by Sutil.

He really is a stupid, delluded twat, he can f**k off my TV this year. >:D

unfortunatley (well possibly if he gets whooped) he is still here for two years!
::)
Seriously what is he on about never having a winning car!!! I know he might not of always been allowed to win but even with the best car for two years he only managed to get on the podium 8 times!

He was average when things got tough too, crashed at Spa GP in 2005 and crashed at Hungry in 2006 - both in the wet with that championship car.

Fisi never unlocked the cars real speed like Alonso did in general.

Of course the winning car never came. It was going farther away from him most of the time. Yes, the one his Spanish teammate was driving. [lol]

I reckon his Spainsh teamate unlocked the speed out of the car, and realiesed its potential...Fisi quite simply didn't.

Nico Wants a top drive by 2010

Nico Rosberg has given notice that he only intends staying at Williams beyond 2009 if the British team is in the hunt for victories.

It emerged late last year that the 22-year-old German had extended his contract through to the end of 2009, with considerably improved financial terms.

But Rosberg told the national German daily Die Welt on Wednesday that, in 2010 and beyond, he wants to move forwards.

"After 2009, I see myself in a top team. Hopefully this will be Williams, but if not, I will go somewhere else," he said.

Williams' new car for 2008, the FW30, has been impressive so far in testing, and Rosberg thinks the team could become the third force behind 'big two' Ferrari and McLaren in 2008.

"We need to be attacking and beating Renault and BMW," he said of the Grove team's goals this year.

Ferrari, Ferrari, Ferrari
:D
I hope!
