I would just like to introduce you guys to the UK Classic Bike Racing Scene which would make for some good TV viewing.
We recently competed in the Donington Classic Revival Meeting which also hosted the Norton Owners Club Centenary Event.
The weekend consisted of 420 competitors racing in 37 races with Spectator Parades and lots of entertainment provided by the Norton Factory.
The racing was fast and furious and equal to any modern day race meeting, the big difference is we run an open paddock which allows the public access to the paddocks and pit lane. All of this for £12 a weekend ticket which also includes camping at most events, you can't ask for a better / cheaper weekends entertainment of thrills and spills.
Our next meeting is the 11th / 12th July at Brands Hatch, we race a 1972 Rob North Trident 930cc and our rider id Chris Chapman. This is only Chris's second season and last year seen him take the Novice of the Year Cup from the CRMC.
So far this year chris is doing better and is currently 2nd in the CRMC Classic Open and lying 4th in the 1300 Nationals, 1300 Group two's and the Post Classics.
The weekends are usually quite hectic as we can be running in upto 9 races.
Enjoy, and don't forget if you want to get out of the armchair for a cheap weekends motorcycle sport then come on down to probably the friendliest paddock in motor racing.
