What about it?

CC decided to call it quits, declare bankruptcy and several teams decided to move over to Indycar.

3 CC races will be incorporated into the schedule, Edmonton, Long Beach and Surfers.

Indycar will take on the CC heritage and history books.

ye but there has 2 b a more complicated reason y they did?

Tony George...owner of Indianapolis Motor Speedway... didn't like the fact Indycar(cart) was full of 'foreign' drivers and wanted to see more Americans in the series so he started the IRL for that purpose.The rubbish American drivers soon gave way to his beloved foreigners and both series went down the tubes to the benefit and delight of Nascar. Unification was inevitable,it's just a pity it didn't happen 10 years ago
