I agree with what you say. Think Neal is getting too big for his boots and feels he has a right to overtake through the car in front. Just because his victim isn't fired off into the gravell it doesn't make his technique legal.
Neal is so desperate to stop Team RAC from winning the independants cup that he is willing to take a dive and get him sent off. Don't think he meant to take such a big dive though as he did it well before the bend so thought he could catch it again before the corner.
taking a dive in racing? i sure hope this is a joke!

It was a comment made with my toungue firmly in my cheek. Now after watching all the incidents from Brands I am even more convinced that Matt was trying all the tricks to make sure Rob couldn't get a good run out of Paddock. Plato did it last year and (I would have to check) Matt moaned about it in the post race interview. It would appear he was trying the same thing as it worked then.
As for using other cars as brakes, you will find that Matt used both MGs as brakes coming into Clearways. It worked on Colin so he used the same technique on Rob. Aim for the rear wheel, contact will scrub of speed, foot can remain firmly on the accelerator. Meanwhile opponent is struggling to save car from spin. Even Ben and Tim said it was "robust". (Translation- not sure that was legal.)
I used to think Matt was hard but fair. Now, I am thinking he is pushing the envelope into barely legal. Every negative thing that has been said about Collard can be said about Neal it is just he hasn't been caught.
