This weekend the Automotodrom in Brno, Czech Republic will play host to the second round of the 2007/2008 A1 Grand Prix season.

This circuit has extremely challenging, fast corners, so all teams will use maximum downforce settings. This circuit also lots of elevation change, making it physically demanding for the drivers.

There are a number of overtaking opportunities, most notably turns 1 and 2, and the final corner - turn 12.

Sky Sports will as usual be showing live qualifying and race 2.

Robbie Kerr is in the Team GB seat, can he match Jarvis's succes at Zanvoort?

Enjoy! :D

Yep, looking forward to Brno, one of the world's great tracks imo and it should produce some great racing. Hopefully Robbie can carry on where Oli started at Zandvoort and continue with GB's bid for the title this season.

Just read that Adam Carroll has been confirmed as the lead Irish driver starting at Brno, which should ensure Ireland are near the front of the grid I feel.

Yeah Brno really is one of the worlds best track, just awesome.

I really hope Kerr can continue Oli's superb form from Zanvoort, however I wouldn't bank on it.

I'm really looking foward to Carrol in A1, I reckon he could make Team Ireland a front running team. Just look at what he did with FMS in GP2! [eek]

Must admit I'm not too keen on our chances either with Robbie behind the wheel, why don't they give the drive to Oli permanently? Baffles me at times ::)

Carroll will show he is a class act again I am sure and he is bound to win a race or two once he has had a bit of time in the car.

I know, it baffles me too. He seems so erractic and inconsistent, plus he's not great at overtaking either.

Oli has done an outstanding job so far, so why not stick with him? I see no reason to stick with Kerr, maybe they feel sorry for him?

Must be as I can't see any other reason for sticking with him given his lack of success compared to the amount of races that he has done over the past two years.

If I was Jarvis I would be a bit miffed given I won last time out yet now I am out the car, he must be wondering what he has to do to get an extended run in the car.

It just doesn't add up, he's had almost two full seasons to really shine and has failed, his driving is so erratic - you never know what he's going to do next.

Jarvis should stick in there and continue blowing the doors of Kerr - they might get the message!!!

You would imagine so wouldn't you as the people involved with TeamGB would appear to know their stuff and I'm sure eventually they will get the hint that Jarvis should be driving full time, hopefully sooner rather than later.

You'd think so, with the professional people working at Team GB. They must be seeing something we can't.

Because all we can see is an erratic driver who is highly in-consistent.

Jarvis has the raw pace, but is smooth with the car and has superb race craft - as proved at Zanvoort!

Im expecting Carrol, depending if he has settled with the car, he will have blistering pace this weekend! As you said Deano if he gets the chance over Firman, then he will definatley win races!

As for the Oli situation after his performance in Zandvort my opinion changed of him completley (i didnt rate him that highly) But Robbie.....why! as i said before after Oli last week.....why! it doesnt make sense to me.
However if he doesnt perform im sure Oli will get the nod full time! (hopefully)

I saw Oli's talent after China last year, it was his first race weekend, on a bumpy street circuit and get's a 2nd place, an amazing drive. [eek]

Then he's next outing in Mexico, he get's a win - Team GB's first. Amazing progress in a short period of time, then I was fully convinced he could lead Team GB effectively, leaving Robbie Kerr out.

Adam Carroll could be on for a good first race weekend, depending on how long he takes to get up to speed with the A1 car.

Adrian Zaugg of South Africa has got sprint race pole position, Jonny Reid of New Zealand 2nd and Robbie Kerr of Great Britain 3rd.

Full sprint race qualifying times and report: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/63283

Jeroen Bleekemolen of Netherlands put in an amazing lap to get pole for feature race pole, after spinning in Q2. So this is an amazing comeback.

Full feature race qualifying times and report: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/63284

Watching A1, DTM and BTCC all at the same time will be tricky... ;)
