You can't market him to the general public to get them to come to races as opposed to the name Schumacer or Hakkinen etc.Big names always win

That is very true, however I really don't want to see Mr Ralf in the DTM. The DTM shouldn't be seen as the retirement home for poor F1 drivers, that would be bad.

Affraid it always has been a retirement home for F1 drivers ,even in the90's you had F1 cast offs in DTM.

They don't need them, the likes of Ekstrom and Spengler can beat them in DTM.

Very true , but , race series need recognisible names to attract spectators.Look at the time TOCA had Mansell(yawn) driving in the BTCC.

It's an unfortunate situation, where oganisers feel the need to attract big names.
The only big name I want to see racing in DTM is Michael Schumacher, because he would be fast.

Thenyou would have a one make series , if Audi can take the bat and ball home after what happened in Barcelona , imagine what would happen when Schumi starts barging them off the circuit every single race meeting.Abt would have to come out of retirement!
