A bit harsh. Its tough to expect Jamie to fill Gary's shoes in DTM given the success he had. Jamie just needs a lucky break. Who knows what would have happened if that idiot Christian Abt hadn't cost him the win at Norisring? Spengler went on to win and look at how much confidence he has now. Jamie could do the same with that first win under his belt.

Gary had about half a season in 03 in a year old car then was promoted to the Daimler Chrysler Bank car for 04 and won races and was a championship contender, so on that score Jamie should have been able to do as good a job in his 2nd season. But yes, its a lot to expect Jaime to emulate Gary, maybe its a bit of luck with the Daimler Chrysler Bank car, Albers did well in it, then Gary, now Spengler has taken it back to winning ways!!

With Jamie in a works car, he has has a good season but under race conditions he must panic or be nervous, as you, have all seen he has made a few silly mistakes from Hockenheim to the Furburger-ring. But his day will come as it has to Bruno, as for Gary returning to DTM who knows but i do know he is missed on the track in the pits and by his old crew and so have i missed getting invited in for beers and food to the Mercedes Hospitalitity suit with Gary and friends.
But i havent missed a race and we have really enjoyed all, from free practice to qualifing and the race its self and looking forward to thursday when we fly out to Eindhoven for this week-ends race at Zandvoort.
