Am i missing something as all i can see is that someone is buying the cars from this seasons WTCC ?? There is no mention of any factory backing or they would use the latest not a year old car.

That is just the same as this season with team RAC and jackson motorsport.

They are Schnitzer (who are employed by BMW), and the cars will be 2008 spec, like the ones which will be used in the WTCC.

Thats how I understand it anyway.

yes they will be upgraded to 2008 spec but that never the same as a purpose built 2008 spec but to me it just reads that someone is buying the 2 cars from schnitzer for next season.

The only thing is will they still use the 5 speed h pattern or upgrade to the 6 speed sequential that is proven to be faster in BTCC.

sequential is obviously faster now, rather than the H pattern.

This is good news though, more cars on the grid for 2008. :)

Indeed, more cars the better (and more for Plato and Neal to crash into). [lol]

plato maybe but think neal will be so far infront next season he gonna get an easy life and plato will have to blame someone else for his failures.

Neal will have a tough time, I reckon. Fabrazio is a very tough compeitor, he won't cut Matt any slack. So if Neal can't match the Italian, he can go play his favourite game "door bashing" with Plato. ;)

plato just a moaning little girl that can only ever be second rate be it in BTCC or in the programmes he features on (fifth gear) and im suprised he didnt try to blame neal for the accident in the comparo.

I like Plato, he is a real racer, unlike daddy boy Neal who gets the stewards to favour him.

are you mad he has 15 years worth of experience in BTCC (little trips to other series but always came back) and he has put more than anyone in BTCC he not only inproved as a racer but also brought a team from being a privateer team but to being afront running team.

seriosly sav you need to spend less time on motorsport websites and try go watch some live racing you will see then how people think about the races rather than the biased opinions of the commentators

I knew you wouldn't like it. ;)

I've seen plenty of live racing thanks, he's a good driver, but I don't like the way he operates. I know many don't like Plato, but that's just my opinion.

I'm not too interested on his BTCC history with Team Dynamics to be honest. I know this has already been discussed, but Steve Neal and his sons reaction after Brands was so over the top. Jackson got peanlised, for making a driver error (which actually had nothing to do with Neal) in very tough conditions. That is why I don't like him.

Just fine anybody, if darling Neal doesn't like it, after that, I don't give a monkeys about history.

well if you seen it live you will have seen how plato never has any time to do anything for the fans he only does the bare minimum when it comes to the pit walks atleast people like matt neal know it all about the fans and if they arent looked after the sport will die.

LOL live racing is not watching it on the telly cos all i ever see is you posting how you watched something i never seen you post saying you went to a track and watched something.
