Well here it is; the third new venue this season for the DTM boys and girls, and yes it was Vanina Ickx second fastest in opening practice behind Nicolas Kiesa... but then again it rained shortly after these two went out so no shock there then. Anyway, it's qually-day here at Barcelona and you guys know the form... drop us a line and we'll do our best to give you a mention during the live show. All the best, CK

Thanks Carlton, looking forward to a great session, with the Mercedes quick in qualifying, do you think this race will see Schneider close to clinching the Championship? And can Jamie use his teammates and launch himself onto the winners place on the podium tomorrow??

I'm certainly in Carlton, DTM was fantastic at Zandvoort last weekend! I'm just not so sure about whether Barcelona is the perfect venue for DTM, in F1 it produces dull races... hopefully we won't see a repeat for these tourers!

It's wet, wet, wet in Barcelona this morning, so look for Jean Alesi to pull off another coup d'etat! No sign of it lifting either, so qualifying is going be interesting...

It's interesting that the DTM will be using the short circuit this weekend not the full GP circuit. Instead of the right-left esses on the first corner of the GP circuit, the short circuit starts with a sharp hairpin just after pitlane exit which leeds onto the left that points you to campsa.
