Just wondering if there's any news on Busch (or any other NASCAR series - NCTS would be nice) coverage here on MOTORS this coming season.

If it is coming to MOTORS again, could I request on behalf of all fans on here that we get a good portion of night races? Particularly any at Lowes & Daytona. In fact, as much live coverage as possible. Many thanks...

Without meaning to thread highjack do u guys have any news on where we get to see nextel cup. I have setanta and they seem to be hanging us out to dry with regard to coverage on nasn. I saw on previous threads that
nasn won't be doing nextel, if so whats happening?

I'm getting worried and now the snooker is delaying the Dakar on Eurosport

Oh and the corr pro is all over the place i'm cracking up

that bit about the dakar coverage being delayed is worrying. I've just got the lot sky plussed so if it's late i'm gonna miss it. useless eurosport.

ESPN may own NASN but that doesnt mean NASN will get the NASCAR. ESPN own the international distribution rights though, and have sweet FA to do with coverage in the US. They have half of the season but that doesnt affect us in the slightest. That half season is purely for the US audience. Anyone could bid to show the whole season if they wanted to (i would if i had enough cash!), though of course, ESPN are likely to give NASN a slightly better deal and would be inclined to give them the coverage!

Besides, like ive said in the past (and bwb1 will remember im sure!), im positive NASN knows exactly whats going on and has done for at least a couple of months now. It makes business sense to pretend they have no idea whats going on, though its a pain in the arse for consumers. I wonder if the office of fair trading could have anything to say to them?

I'm sure Nascar themselves wouldn't be to happy if they new the likes of us were left in the dark especially when they have the publicity machine of Montoya in a global sense. Remember when Mansell went to Indycar and there was a big surge of publicity with channel 4 getting involved.

It's pretty clear to me that the tv companies split the sports up so we're forced to subscribe to more than one channel.

I would love to know what the viewing figures for Nascar would be for Europe. I'm sure theres a demand for the three main nascar series

I reckon, european demand for NASCAR is really overrated by some NASCAR die-hard fans... there's no oval racing culture in Europe (a bit in UK, maybe), so I would be very surprised, if at least 5% of F1 (and other type of road racing) fans will turn their attention towards oval racing just because Montoya, Ambrose (who else) decided to try their luck there.

I, for one, don't particularly like off-road racing (autocross, rallycross), so even if the whole F1 field will jump into some off-road series, I would not bother to watch it anyway.

i'd watch grand-am and maybe the road courses but unless there was nothing else on i probably woundn't watch nextel cup. I don't dislike it, I just prefer other things.

I do question the relevance of the post but I don't really care...........thinking about it there is a point. basically I'm not going to subsribe to a channel to watch nascar. There!
