I hate to say it, but are Spainards/FIA are being racist to Hamilton?

First we have a Spainish peition against him, then the FIA want to make sure there is equality between Hamilton and Alonso - what that basically means is that the FIA don't want Lewis to win the title. ::)

And now this, a Spainish Mercedes-Benz employee has been tampering with Hamilton's Wikipedia page: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/63217

The list could just go on and on.

I think a witch hunt is happening so Lewis doesn't win the title, I reckon racism is defintely a factor.

A real shame in this day and age, FIA and Spainards still find a persons skin colour a problem.

it's common knowledge that mclaren have thrown alonso in the corner on his own since he gave evidence against them.

I think a small minority of spanish fans are racist. I have seen it on some forums when a spanish person comes on and they start bitching about Lewis (a lot of it racist with the N word).

The majority of spanish fans are not racist, but they cannot bear to see their moody little fellow take a whooping by the chosen one.

They also know (like Alonso knows), Lewis would be on a different level next year and would grind the spainard into the ground.

Spaniards are very nationalistic. They support their own a lot of the time. The British are different, I think a lot of my mates want Kimi to win (and he is a Finn).

I think all these witch hunts against Hamilton are paritially racist. When Alonso was battling with Schumi last year there was none of this witch hunt, I think it's quite appalling by some Spainish media, and certain senior FIA people.

Spainards are known for being racist, so it wouldn't surprise me. And using the N word doesn't surprise me either. Disgusting behaviour, but what can you do? ::)

Funny this popped up really!
A while ago i was thinking about why the FIA and people keep making points on Hamilton and at the time i thought is there some Racism going on here? and i thought nah its just one of those things!

But as Andy mentioned its commonly know that the Spaniards are very racist (as we seen in football matches) and always voice their opinions as their fellow Alonso does. In this case it has to be a Spaniard that has made these points, and it all seems to me that they are trying to get into Hamiltons head to try and break him down, coming up to the decider.
Not gonna happen, ill give the lad credit he has got thick skin and will just pay no attention to it!

This is just.....well wrong really!

I agree Scuderia, I also intially thought: "it's just one of those things". However thinking more deeply about it, its blinding obvious that it's racism.

Spainards are as you say very well known for being racist, Hamilton is black - makes sense.

And senior FIA members are mostly Southern Europeans, and therefore the majority are deeply racist. Not all, but most.

Lewis Hamilton probably deep down knows it's racisim, but can't come out and publicly say it.

He prefers to drive to the limit, so he should.

I don't think racism has played in any part of this years championship, nothing has been done or said to Hamilton which is outside of the norm.

Wikipedia can be altered by anyone and often is, the person who edited it in this case made no racist comments and should have made their comic contribution on uncyclopedia. Lewis Hamilton already has a fun entry on there.

'Born January 7, 1985 in a go-kart (apparently) is a Formula One racing driver, married to F1 commentator James Allen. The parents featured on TV are not his real parents but stand-ins for the two men he was cloned from, George Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Sennacol (although this does not explain his skin colour- this is Uncyclopedia, so it doesn't have to). He is often credited as the only F1 driver in history to have any kind of sex appeal. Fernando Alonso insisted that he should also be taken into account, but his face was mistaken for a dog's ass and so he was excluded from the study' -Uncyclopedia, under lewis Hamilton.[/quote]

The racists are a very small minority. Its just that they make a lot of noise. Its unfortunate, but don't blame all Spaniards for a few vociferous brainless idiots.

Oh absolutely, I'm not blaming all Spainards, but this minority really do sound very loud and need to shut up, they are known for being racist anyway in football.

Exactly its just a shame that Minority have to spoil it or taint it for the rest of us, which see's them being percieved in the wrong light, it always its just common place in the world i guess.
Im not saying all Spaniards are the same far from it, its just a shame that some have to speak out in such a negative way that brings the sport down...yet again!

I don't understand where Autosport.com got the information about a Spanish Mercedes employee. All I've read so far, is that it was a Mercedes employee and that the IP used originated from Daimler. So that could pretty much mean any factory in Europe, but most logical would be that it's their main factory in Germany. Mercedes/Daimler can't even trace the IP to anyone, because they didn't notice the wikipedia thing until after 3 days it was edited.

It's so easy to blame the Spanish and FIA for everything, but seriously.... ¿

Just look at the motive that the Spainards have got, they hate Hamilton, and some have been quite racist towards him, just search various different forums...

I'm not saying it's definte, but likely... ;)
