Knockhill is longer than Brands Hatch Indy (1.3miles as opposed to 1.18miles).
Main problem would presumably be whether DTM (being a German series) wished to have more than one UK race, as I can't see them choosing Knockhill over Brands, Silverstone or Donington Park any day soon.
That said, never say never.
