They should both stay where they are. They are in the best team. It is hot in the kitchen, but the one that backs out it the loser.

If Alonso loses the championship and jumps to Renault or someone, it looks like he took a whooping.

I think the real root of Alonso problem is that he thinks he got a contract with No1 on it, HE HASN'T. So he is growing more and more desperate. He wanted what Micheal had at Ferrari and he wants Lewis to be his buttmonkey like Rubens was for Micheal.

.......saying that though, it would be great to see Lewis in a Ferrari. He has the aggression and ragged driving style that Ferrari fans would love.

But I agree with the above, I think Ferrari will be sniffing out Rosberg if they aren't already.

Incidently, can anyone tell me the nature of Lewis's contract? How long is he tied to Ron for?

I tell you what, Autosport are going to have a long, long, hard decision to make about which cartoon to publish in this week's issue [lol]

Hamilton's contract will stay for a long time based on this first season for him, but Alonso's really chucked his toys out the cockpit as a result, and I reckon he just wants to get away from Hamilton if anything, and go back to his beloved Flavio at Renault ;)

This weeks Autosport is an absolute must buy.

I think Hamilton should seriously consider the Ferrari offer...

Alonso can go back to his bum chum Flavio, I doubt that Renault will win next year anyway.

The only chance Renault have of winning a race is when Top Gear take over the sport and allow guns into the sport :D

If Hamilton goes to Ferrari, then at least he'll only have to beat his team mate, because his rival team would be excluded from the championship during a spy row [!!!!]

[lol] [lol]

Can you imagine, Hamilton: "That's it Alonso, I'm gonna shoot you out of the way!". [lol] [lol]

I can see Hamilton and Schumi working well together.

Hamilton: "Schumi, just how can I get back at Alonso?"

Schumi: "Ah, I have just the plan Lewis. Block the track in qaulifying, that'll really piss off Alonso".

Hamilton: "What a great idea, I'll do it Monaco, do you reckon I should take off Alonso's front wing?".

Schumi: "Oh yes Lewis, what great thinking. I always played dirty tricks but I never got told off, I highly recommend it.

Hamilton: "Right, thanks Schumi, that's sorted - Alonso is going down in Monaco!".

These Italians know how to start a good rumour.
http://www.f1grandprix.it/

Or in English:-
Quote:
According to F1GrandPrix.it, Ron Dennis could sell McLaren before the end of the season. The rumour has been going on for several months, but the current difficult moment for the Woking team could persuade Dennis to take this step.

The espionage scandal, then the burst of the Alonso-Hamilton struggle: Ron Dennis appeared visibly stressed at the end of the Hungarian GP. This is not the first time the English manager is managing difficult situations inside his team, but lots of insiders think this is the worst period in McLaren history.

While he was able to manage the Senna-Prost saga, Dennis doesn't seem to succeed in controlling his driver line-up anymore. Himself ammetted the quarrell between Alonso and Hamilton is worse than the ones he experienced in the late 80s.

At sixty, Dennis could have reached the time to retire. Mercedes, after increasing his shares in the team during the last seasons, is keen on buying 100% of the historic English team.

Also, the worsened relationships with the Prodrive team seem to exclude Dennis from taking a role into the second Mercedes team after leaving McLaren. After 27 years in the stressful Formula One world, this could be the time for Ron Dennis to quit the business.

PaddockTalk Perspective

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times....

http://www.f1grandprix.it/ is also a good source of wallpapers, of cars and Italian pit babes.

Quote:
Fernando Alonso's manager has played down press speculation that the disgruntled reigning world champion could immediately quit McLaren.

With the 26-year-old Spaniard's relationship with the Mercedes-powered outfit at an all time low after the Hungarian grand prix, his manager Luis Garcia Abad told the newspaper 'El Pais' that Alonso is not planning to leave McLaren any time soon.

Spanish newspapers had also reported that Abad recently met with Renault's Flavio Briatore about a possible return for Alonso to the French team, but he insists: "We are in McLaren to win races and the third title.

"That's our goal. And in these moments there aren't that many options: just McLaren and Ferrari."

Abad said he spoke to Dennis earlier this week to clarify reports that the Woking team's principal told Alonso in Hungary that he is now free to walk away from his three-year contract at the end of the season.

"He told me what has been published is not true. His intention is that the contract is fulfilled," said Abad.

PaddockTalk Perspective

The situation is such that no other team can give him the opportunity to claim title number three this year....

So Alonso and Hamilton are going to fight this battle out... race by race, side by side, and face to face.

The question is...

Who will McLaren support... and who won't they ?

I reckon Alonso will leave Mclaren at the end of this year, despite what Alonso's manger says.

Can you really see Nando staying at Mclaren while Hamilton is there? I don't think so!

A spanish newspaper yesterday reported that BMW had an option on Nando for next year, and they speculated that Heidfeld would be for the exit.

Silly season stuff, I think.

Heidfeld is actually a great driver, he's doing a great job at BMW.

We are hearing many rumours at the moment, so we mustn't get carried away.
