Interesting that they have moved the British round from Donington to Silverstone, and a few months earlier in the year. Doesnt say which of the layouts they'll be using though.

I think the International course. Because the GP course is to long, especially for the 2,0 series.

Dont think its down to the BRDC, since its been a Renault promotion weekend it should still be free. Maybe they want to race WSR on another Grand Prix circuit.

the reason it was free at donnie was because the owners thought they could earn more money but having 130,000 free entries and make a killing at the food stands etc. Sadly the BRDC has to find the £10 million to give to bernie so i think it might be cheap but doubt it will be free.

The main thing for me though is looking at pics from the donnie race there was lots of families having a good day sitting on the grass bankings watching the racing and saidly as silverstone is like a lunar landscape you either gotta go in one of the stands or site on a rough floor.

But i still stick by the idea that it wont be free for fans this year some how the BRDC will make a killing with the fans being the ones that pay the price.

and that is exactly my point the BRDC take money from every driver in the uk to supposed help them in racing yet they give bernie £10 million a year so he wont drop the rave from silverstone. I think the brdc should get someone who cares about racing incharge instead of that idiot damon hill and tell bernie to go stick it and use the £10 million they would save to make the racing in the uk that is for both the racer and the fans more interesting.

Shame we cant do what france did when he threatened to remove magny cours from the calender as that was pure genius. proposing the noise restrictions be lowered meaning no F1 cars could run in france soon made im change his mind.

Your probably right.

But i ask you this, would you go and see WSR if you had to pay a tenna?

I certainly wouldnt and, if they dont make it free, there will be a standard touring car size crowd at the very most. And of course, that will kill the atmosphere!

not for the WSR no but for the clio cup i definately would especially if it is oversubscribed again this year so they have to do heats for drivers to make it into the points race.

To the best of my knowledge Renault pay for the tickts, its part of the promotional budget, you apply to Reanult for the tickets, not the circuit you're going to. Its the same for the other WSR rounds in Europe as well.
The day is entirely Renault themed, the only merch shop at Donny was the Renault one.
So i expect it still to be a free day out. As someone else has already said, if they did charge there would be a lot less people. Renault know that.
