Surprising predictions Andy Walker!
I think the Renault/alonso one is very accurate, I also don't think next years car will be very compeitive, I think Alonso will quit F1 all together then. My heart will bleed.
Rubens is okay, but just isn't good enough anymore to mix it in with the youngsters.

I agree with you about Alonso quiting. I think he will crack up if Renault are not very good.
I can see him in a padded cell in 2009. With a foil helmet on his head to stop Ron Dennis's subliminal radar messages getting in.
He will draw pictures of Lewis on his etch-a-scetch and cry out loud.

Alonso came out of this season worst, he looked psychologically drained. On the verge of a breakdown in my opinion. His comments and behaviour became more and more crazed.
Lewis came out okay, but he let his team mate get to him on occasions, like in the last race where he should have slotted in behind Alonso.
And Kimi is the strongest. Because he doesn't give a hoot about anything.

Yup, as we have seen many times, Kimi doesn't do emtional tantrums - that's what won him the title.

Yep, he is the Iceman.
Even on the podium he let the odd smile slip, but he still looked like he didn't give a shit.
Of all the drivers, Kimi is the one who would crack last. Massa, his team mate is the exact opposite, he is a flake.

Massa can crack no problem, he shows his erratic nature time and time again.
Kimi's attiude in previous years hsn't been right, but with all the bitching, sabotage and politics. It's the best approach - just concentrate on the job.

and work hard, and party hard.
I like the fact that he like to take a drink. They were bitching in the papers about Jonny Wilkinson drinking AFTER the world cup.
jesus, let them blow off some steam and have a life outside of motorsport.
Thats Alonsos problem. He is obsessed.
I am glad Lewis gets out and about.

Yup, yoy do need some relax time, in any sport.
Alonso just thinks about beating Lewis, which is part of his big problem.
Kimi only drinks on days off anyway, I see no problem.

:iagree:
Alonso just seemed completley out of it! what he was coming out with just made you think why on earth would you say a thing like that ie "i brought 3 tenths to the car" WAKE UP YOU SILLY TWAT!
Its like you say he is just obsessed, and yes thats a good thing to be competative but he is too competative and that got the better of him this season!
There were times when Lewis got caught up in Alonso mouthing one to look at was Hungary (rightfully so!) but that was the first time he really lost his cool with Alonso.
As for Kimi, lol he couldnt give a shit as you say!

During the 2008 Formula One season, a couple of new regulations will be introduced or reintroduced in the pinnacle of motorsport. One of the biggest changes is the banning of traction control. According to World Champion Kimi Raikkonen, F1 will see more overtaking because of this.
Kimi Raikkonen said about the new regulations: "When I came to Formula One we didn't have traction control. There are so many things coming up. I think it'll be good fun and more challenging, too. And taking the traction control away will give us more opportunities to overtake."
The ban of traction control and a general reduction of driver aids thanks to a standard ECU system will leave more room for errors to the driver and allow others to profit from that. Up until now it was virtually possible to push the throttle all the way down without spinning the wheels. Doing so in the future will seriously reduce acceleration performance and could enable competitors to pass.
Interesting...

To be honest the introduction of this rule has been far far overdue and Kimi is dead right on that assumption that more drivers will make errors. and ultimatley we will see the boys separated from the men! (in other words who is a skilled top notch driver to the average joe)

if you take driver aids away , then the better drivers should do better in the race and championship !!!! .... with all the driving aids most good drivers could or should be able to drive an F1 car , providing they can handle the speed of it BUT will it aid overtaking !!!! that depends on each track !!! because some lend themselves to overtaking

I completely agree Scuderia, I personally think TC should have never been introduced in the first place.
Kimi is right, we will see more mistakes made because their will no longer be some electronics controlling the rear end. I think all the top drivers will cope fine, like Kimi, Hamilton, Alonso and Nico.
Where's people like Yamamato will be spinning endlesely. ![LOL [lol]](http://www.motorstv.com/en/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
