Kimi has...but that was in 2001 with Sauber!
So he musn't remember much, but Kimi is a great driver so he will adapt. Massa, I'm not so sure about...

Aerodynamic downforce is your answer.

If we have slicks Chris, maybe F1 cars could.
These grooved tyres don't allow much sliding.

if the F I A want more competitiveness and overtaking ( as in the past ) then ALL aids should be removed and revert to slick tyres, AND maybe NO fuel stop !!! so the race will not be interrupted by pit stops , so if you want to overtake someone it has to be done on the track and not by a quick pit crew

I agree on both accounts, we don't need fuel stops, overtaking in the pits isn't very exciting, I want to see on track battles.
Slick tyres are a no brainer, every other series uses them. F1 used to use them, and look at the great racing we had.

would it not be less expensive for the tyre manufacturer to produce slick tyres rather than grooved

Of course it would, a slick is used by Brigestone in other series, like GP2 for example. So they could just modify that tyre, I can't understand why the FIA introduced grooved tyres in the first place, they just drive up costs.
