As always - hope the link works! (think I'm getting the hang of it).

Going to be strange seeing yet another predominantly red car on the circuit.

I don't think the final livery will be unveiled for a couple of months yet... there'll be other non-title sponsors whose logos will have to be incorporated into the design...

The "graphics" on that Alonso site above and the photo also contradict one another... the photo is far less red and still primarily chrome, with the Vodafone branding effectively replacing the Johnnie Walker brand. The angle emphasises the red, but looking closely I think the front of the car is clearly chrome, whereas on the "graphics" it is red.

I think it could be rather a nice looking car...

Just gonna be a bit confusing for us old gits whose eyesight isn't quite what it was telling the difference between 4/5 teams with reddish cars!

Well here it is. Looks like they designed it using a kit kat rapper. Maybe it will look better once its on the track in day light.

Slightly OT but if Ron Dennis wants 'a new youthful image' why have Lewis and Fernando got the same haircut? Or does 'youthful' mean looking the same? Sorry couldnt resist...

that just looks wrong. The car itself looks quite good but the paint scheme is horrible.

Agreed. Think the chrome looks stupid!

Oh, am i the only person who gets severely hacked off by all the forced sponsorship photos (in this case, playing with each others phones!) that everyone insists on doing these days?

i didn't actually see that as i stopped after the first dozen or so pictures. But yes it is very annoying, there again I don't bother with most advertising now. All that junk on the mclaren looks stupid (i coundn't spell the other word  ) It just likes like they've cramed in what ever they can get on it.
Advertising in motorsport is important but where you put it is more important.

It's a bit off topic but thats dosen't matter. When Bravo showed the spa 24 hour, they managed to go to an ad break in the last 2 minutes of the race and therefore we the viewers missed the end of the race (they did the same at the start btw) and i swear i will no buy or use anything advertised in that ad break.

Anyway thats for another thread, sometime soon.

Was 3 actually, and we saw most of the last lap :P

The collective grown when it happened though was great. Had it been a nice peaceful afternoon, i get the feeling there'd have been a grown similar to that of england missing a penalty when it happened!
