Fujitsu V8: Zukanovic hospitalised in testing crash

Marcus Zukanovic was taken to hospital after a heavy shunt in V8 Supercar testing this weekend.

The Fujitsu V8 Development series driver crashed his Holden Commodore at Winton Motor Raceway when his brakes failed at the end of the back straight and he hit the wall at over 200km/h.

The 2006 V8 Utes and Commodore Cup champion, who was preparing for another season in the Fujitsu after finishing 10th and 11th over the past two seasons, had to be cut from the wreckage after his car rolled after slamming into a concrete wall.

Zukanovic was taken to the nearby Wangaratta hospital suffering from a broken leg and rib injuries.
