CARTOURINGSUPERSTARS CHAMPIONSHIP

Also known as "the V8 Series Car Challenge", the newly re-branded International Superstars Championship is based on "top-class" production cars, from 3000 to 7000cc, and up to 450hp.

Created and promoted by FGSport, organizers of the World Superbike, and taking place at international events such as DTM, FIA GT or BERU Top 10, the series holds 9 rounds, from which 2 are raced abroad, in Valencia (Spain) and Oschersleben (Germany).

In 2008 seven brands are entering the championship : Audi (RS4), BMW (550i, M3 & M5), Cadillac (CTS-V), Chevrolet (Lumina), Chrysler (300c SRT8), Jaguar (S-type R), Mercedes (C63).

The grid is 23 cars strong, and amongst the drivers is Italian ski-legend Kristian Ghedina (13 World-cup victories). While Audi’s veteran and reigning champion Gianni Morbidelli remains the favorite for a new title, there are plenty of candidates to make the series a viable and competitive form of motor racing.
