Ramos joins Fortec for FR3.5

Fortec have completed their line-up for the forthcoming Formula Renault 3.5 season with the signing of Cesar Ramos.

The Brazilian, who won the Italian Formula 3 title last season, joins Alexander Rossi at the English outfit after running with the team at a private test at Motorland Aragon in November.

Ramos also recently tested a Ferrari F1 car as part of his prize for winning the Italian domestic series. That’s led Fortec boss Richard Dutton to believe the pairing represents his team’s strongest line-up since joining the championship.

“We worked hard to get this fantastic line-up,” he said. “Cesar tested with us at Motorland and we were very impressed with him.

“Obviously, Rossi has been very quick in testing as well, so it is probably the strongest line-up we have had since we have been in World Series.

“The Italian F3 series that Cesar won has been getting stronger, and he impressed Ferrari as well because they were keen that we test him.”
