FBMW: Nissany joins Mucke to prepare for 2011 debut

Israeli-based teenager Roy Nissany has signed with Mucke Motorsport with a view to making his Formula BMW Europe debut next season.

At 15 years of age, Nissany is too young to race in the F1-support series this year so will instead enjoy an extensive testing programme with the German team before graduating to the series next year.

Nissany started racing go karts at the age of six in both Europe and Israel and was fourth in the Central European Championship in 2004. He has also raced in the International Open Master Championship and was 13th in the Winter Cup at Lonato and runner-up in the prestigious Mille Dollari race in Italy.

The son of ex-Minardi F1 test driver Chanoch Nissany, the youngster holds dual Israeli and French nationality and, alongside his test programme, will prepare for 2011 by competing in the Formula Lista Junior series, a feeder category to FBMW which will visit Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Most, Magny-Cours and Monza this season.
