Sureshwaren to remain in F2

Indian racer Parthiva Sureshwaren will remain in Formula Two next season.

The 31-year-old made his series debut in 2010, taking a maiden points paying finish in only his third event at Monza. However he has since struggled to return to the top ten, his best result of 2011 coming with an 11th place finish at British venue Brands Hatch.

"I am really happy to return to Formula Two after gaining a lot of experience in the last couple of seasons," commented Sureshwaren.

"I feel confident heading into this season as I have a better understanding of the car and am better prepared for it.

"2012 is an important year for me so I will work hard to achieve the best possible result. My aim this season is to improve my overall performance by regularly finishing in the points and score some podium finishes."

Sureshwaren joins Brit Luciano Bacheta in firming up a place on the F2 grid.
