British F3: Bank Holiday action guaranteed at Snetterton

With Jean-Eric Vergne’s championship win two weeks ago at Silverstone, there is still plenty up for grabs as the British F3 International Series heads to Snetterton this Bank Holiday weekend.

Vergne already has the championship title in the bag after winning his 12th race of the year so far and now he will be targeting the all-time record for the number of race wins in a season, which stands at 14 and was set by Jan Magnussen in 1994.

There is also a close battle to see who will finish as runner-up to the Frenchman. At the moment his team-mate James Calado is in that position but not far off the pace is Fortec’s Oli Webb.

There will also be some home pride up for stakes at the Norfolk track, T-Sport’s Kings Lynn-based driver Alex Brundle, and Ipswich racer Rupert Svendsen-Cook, will both be looking for good performances in front of a home crowd.

Alex who is the son of former F1 driver Martin Brundle is looking forward to the race of the Bank Holiday.

“I’m really looking forward to it; it’s my local track and I’ve always gone well there,” he said. “It’s one of the fastest tracks in the UK and a great thrill, with a couple of really exciting corners. It offers a very different challenge to other tracks in the UK.”
