Brit F3: West-Tec secure Motul backing

Team West-Tec has extended its successful relationship with Motul and will carry the company’s logos in both the British F3 International Series and European F3 Open.

The team introduced Motul logos to the British series last season, although the high-tech lubricant expert has a strong presence in motorsport around the world.

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to continue and build our successful team sponsorship with Motul, as they are truly one of motorsport’s iconic brands,” said Team West-Tec Team Principal John Miller.

“Such arrangements allow us to be able to keep the driver budgets to a minimum and also provide us with Motul’s superb range of products, as well as their analysis and laboratory facilities which should allow us to maximise performance on track.”

Pace Products is Motul’s UK distributor and the company’s Gareth Burnett revealed that the new deal was build on solid foundations after last year’s agreement went well.

“Last year we decided to start a new programme with Team West-Tec, with an eye on a good, long-term relationship,” he said. “Therefore it was only natural to continue and expand on that relationship for 2010 when we look forward to seeing the team add to their record of Championship wins.”

Motul’s Romain Fabre echoed those thoughts when he said, “we were very pleased to start our association with Team West-Tec in 2009 and the cars looked fantastic with the Motul logos. We are looking forward to seeing them race to success in 2010.”
