Brit F3: Hitech confirm driver line-up

Former British F3 champions Hitech Racing have confirmed their driver line-up for the 2010 season.

Brazilian Gabriel Dias and British youngster Will Buller will spearhead the squad’s assault as they look to regain the title they last won in 2007 with Marko Asmer.

Dias steps up into the main International Class after a successful National Class campaign in 2009. Driving for T-Sport, the Formula Renault Eurocup graduate grabbed eight class victories, 14 podiums and seven fastest laps, finishing second in the points behind Fortec’s Daniel McKenzie.

Buller is set for his first season in F3 having spent two years racing with Fortec in Formula BMW Europe. He has previous experience in Formula Renault, the Toyota Racing Series and T-Cars, where he was runner-up in his first season of car racing in 2007.

“Gabriel is focused and determined to win the championship,” said Hitech Team Boss Ryan Sharp. “He and Will have worked well together and pushed each other in testing. Having two drivers that can do that is something we have lacked.”

Last season Hitech helped Walter Grubmuller to finish second in the British F3 standings, while team-mate Renger van der Zande was third overall despite not competing in all the races.
