The British F3 championship returns to Motors TV in 2009 where a wave of driving talent will once again attempt to beach itself onto the sandy shores of international motorsport.
Jaime Alguersuari became the series' youngest ever winner last year after overcoming apparent title shoe-in Oliver Turvey during the final round at Donington. Only time will tell whether the Spaniard has the necessary talent to emulate the likes of Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakkinen who all went on to record multiple grand prix titles following British F3 success.
This year will see three makes of chassis - Dallara, Mygale and SLC - paired with Mercedes-Benz, Mugen-Honda and new for 2009, VW powerplants. Expect close racing and plenty of incidents as the most prestigious domestic single-seater championship in the world gears up for another season.
Best bit: Each and every driver treating each race as if it's their last.
