FFord: Fluid MS sign Finnish karter

Formula Ford front runner Fluid Motorsport has signed Finnish karter Jesse Antilla as its first driver for the 2010 season.

The 16-year-old will drive one of the team’s Van Diemen chassis in the MSA Championship of Great Britain after a successful winter test programme.

Antilla was Finnish KF3 kart champion in 2008 and entered several Finnish Formula Ford Championship races in a Zetec-powered Van Diemen last season.

“I had the pleasure of running Jesse in one of his home races at the Botniaring where with minimal set-up changes he showed vast improvement,” said Fluid Motorsport team boss Lindsay Allen. “After that he took part in several test days with Fluid over winter in the UK and impressed all with his commitment and determination. He is very promising and has gone well in testing.”

The team is also hoping to sign two more drivers for the 2010 season in the coming weeks.
