F.Ford: Cammish not giving up on title

Daniel Cammish is confident he can still challenge for the 2010 MSA Formula Ford Championship Great Britain, starting at Rockingham next weekend.

The reigning Scholarship Class champ has suffered a frustrating season so far having been tipped for the title at the start of the year.

But a recent change of team and chassis, from a Kevin Mills Racing Spectrum to JTR’s Mygale, seemed to do the trick for the Yorkshireman who scored his first senior class win at Zandvoort.

Cammish will need similar results at the remaining rounds if he’s to stand any chance of reeling in championship rivals Scott Malvern and Scott Pye, starting at Rockingham next weekend, scene of his pole position on debut last term.

I feel as if I have settled down into the car now, so I’m pretty confident,” he said. “The big thing now is to start to win some races and to catch up with Scott Pye. My car is very good - JTR know exactly what they are doing and they put down a fast car, it’s just taken me a little time to get my head around the different driving style needed. I was on pole at Rockingham last year and I fancy my chances of doing it again.”
