Cook to race for Jamun in 2012


Ginetta Junior racer Jake Cook has confirmed his return to crack British Formula Ford outfit Jamun for next season.

The 18-year-old is the fills the first of the four seats available at the team, who took this year's crown with Scott Malvern. Cook contested the first five rounds of the 2011 campaign with modest results, his best showing coming with a seventh place finish at Snetterton.

"This is a huge year for me," Cook told Motorsport News. "I've only had half seasons but now I'm getting a test programme and joining a team I know well.

"Having the new car will make things tough," he continued, reffering to the series' new Eco Boost racer. "It will close the field but I am confident."
