Still recognised as an important first step on any young driver’s career ladder, it’s a more cost effective way of graduating from karting to the big time than some of the newer classes to have sprung up in recent years. Aero is kept to a minimum with the banning of front or rear wings whilst the skinny slick tyres mean mechanical grip also comes at a premium.
Unsurprising then that when these factors combine, the effect is irresistible; packed grids of talented youngsters racing wheel to wheel as if their career depends on it.
