CARSINGLE-SEATERAUTO GP

Auto GP

Born out of the predominantly Italian-based Euroseries 3000, Auto GP hits the tracks of Europe this season amid much fanfare and with cars, drivers and circuits that live up to the hype.

Using a modified version of the first generation, Lola-designed, single seater A1GP cars that provided such superb racing in the first three years of the ‘world cup of motorsport’, a prize fund of up to €200,000 per round has helped to attract drivers of the quality of 2008 GP2 champion Giorgio Pantano, former Honda tester Luca Filippi and British hot-shot Duncan Tappy.

With experienced teams of the calibre of DAMS, Supernova, Trident and Durango also confirmed and races at prestigious circuits such as Imola, Spa-Francorchamps and Monza on the calendar, the inaugural season looks set to be a cracker!
