WRC 2012 Classification

 This year’s World Rally Championship begins with the legendary Rally Monte-Carlo and ends with Rally Spain. After resigning with Citroen, Sébastien Loeb’s goal in 2012 is to win a ninth consecutive title and along with new recruit take another constructor’s championship for Citroen. The Malcolm Wilson led Ford squad has designated Jari-Matti Latvala as its number one driver this year and has brought Petter Solberg in to team with the Finn. This year, Sébastien Ogier is competing with a Skoda Fabia S2000 as well as conducting extensive testing with Volkswagen’s Polo R, before the German car giant enters the WRC in 2013. Mini is fielding one car full-time this season for Dani Sordo.

Sébastien Loeb has won round 3 of the World Rally Championship, Rally Mexico.

Jari-Matti Latvala has rolled his Ford Fiesta WRC and is now out of podium contention.

Loeb extends lead - 11/03 - 00:34

Sébastien Loeb ran a clean and strong day to pull away from Mikko Hirvonen in the battle for Rally Mexico.

Jari-Matti Latvala goes under the 30 minute barrier on the 41.88km Otates 2, while Sébastien Loeb maintains command of Rally Mexico.
