WRC:SS9 Latvala extends lead

Jari-Matti Latvala has won SS Sirkkamaki 2, pushing his lead from Petter Solberg to 9.4s.

Heading into the final proper stage of day 1, the lone factory backed Ford leads a quartet of Citroens. Sébastien Ogier is third at 2.1s, while Sébastien Loeb is fourth at 33.7s, a credible performance considering he has to sweep the roads and is 2.9s to the good from Dani Sordo.
