WRC: Latvala wins SS6 to close to within 0.1s of rally lead.



Jari-Matti Latvala in the sole remaining factory Ford blasted through the 24.87km Lankamaa stage to post the best and close to 0.1s of current leader Petter Solberg. 

 
Dani Sordo is 3rd, 1.9s ahead of his replacement this weekend in the works Citroen C4, Sébastien Ogier. Henning Solberg went 3rd quick in the stage to move past Sébastien Loeb in the overall for fifth place.  Juha Kankkunen has moved into the top ten, following an incident forcing Khalid Al Qassimi to stop in the stage.

Despite an impressive runner-up result on the Monte-Carlo Rally, Mini’s days in the WRC may be numbered.

Championship leader and the only non-Scandinavian winner of Rally Sweden, Sébastien Loeb heads a massive list of entrants for the running of the only snow round on the calendar.

Sébastien Loeb never turned a wheel wrong over the five days taking Rally Monte-Carlo to score his 68th WRC victory. The eight-time world champion capped off a perfect week with the Power Stage win and a maximum 28 points.

Sébastien Loeb is one stage away from his 6th Rally Monte-Carlo Rally success and the early lead in the 2012 WRC.
