Loeb extends lead


Sébastien set another scratch time on SS7, Lamastre - Gilhoc – Alboussiere to push his lead to 1”23 over new second place Petter Solberg.

While the Citroen team leader continues to demonstrate why he has five Rally Monte-Carlo triumphs, the battle between Solberg and Dani Sordo rages on. Three stages and three swaps of position between the Norwegian and Spaniard with Solberg now 3.7 seconds ahead of Sordo.

Mikko Hirvonen is fourth at 1’34 to Sordo.Sébastien Ogier set a blistering time for an S2000 car to take fourth best time at 8.4s to Loeb and pushes his Skoda Fabia into fifth place ahead of Evgeny Novikov. Francois Delecour is seventh, ahead of Pierre Campana and Ott Tanak. Per-Gunnar Andersson is 10th overall in the Proton Satria S2000.
