This was one of the most difficult stages of the event, crossing through the heart of Mauritania. The Tizéguine pass in the middle of the world-famous cordon dunes was another major challenge for the remaining competitors in this year’s TAC and played a serious role in the standings as the rally continues west towards Senegal.
