TAC eleventh leg

On Tuesday, the 2008 TAC made its way to Akjoujt to Bou-Lanouar in Mauritania on the very long 615km stage.

The remaining TAC raiders made their way to Akjoujt, which is situated half-way between Atar and the capital city of Nouakchott. More than 600kms of off-road sand and navigation and while nightfall hovered over the bivouac of this second day in Mauritania only a dozen or so of the teams had actually made their way to the dunes at Akjoujt. Thos night would be a long one for some and a very short one for others before starting all over again the next morning on the Idini tracks.
