Jerome Grosset-Janin took victory in the premier class of the French Rallycross Championship in the second round at Faleyras last weekend.
Grosset-Janin, who finished second to Samuel Peu in the season opener two weeks ago, won the A Final in Division 1 by 2.067 seconds in his Renault Clio III to take over at the top of the points standings.
Alexandre Theuil (VW Golf) was second ahead of Gaetan Serazin (Peugeot 207 WRC), while Peu couldn’t repeat his heroics from the first round and only managed fourth. Citroen drivers Philippe Tollemer and Christophe Wilt were the other drivers to make it through to the final and finished in fifth and sixth, respectively.
In Division 1A, Steven Bossard collected a second consecutive win in his Citroen C2, again beating the Renault Twingo of David Olivier. Adeline Sangnier (Citroen Saxo) completed the podium.
Division 3 also saw a repeat winner as Marc Morize (Peugeot 207) triumphed ahead of the Mini Cooper of Florent Beduneau and Henri Navail’s Renault Clio, while Benjamin Godot (Citreon Saxo) took Division 4 honours ahead of Jean-Louis Poirier (Honda Civic R) and Yvonnick Jago (Audi A3).
