CAROTHERSSILVERSTONE CLASSIC

One of the world's largest classic motor sport events, the Silverstone Classic brings together a unique gathering of classic road and racing cars to The Home of British Motor Racing. The annual Silverstone Classic is a celebration of motor racing across all decades from the 1920s to the 1990s. The cars on display are not purely historic, with more contemporary races such as Group C, Saloons and late Formula One cars also in action in their natural surroundings.

21 races and 15 qualifying sessions over the 3-days featuring over 600 cars are expected this year, many driven in their day by some of the worlds greatest drivers. Featuring also : open paddocks to see the race cars close up and talk to the drivers, special track displays, air displays from WWII planes to jet fighters and parachute displays, huge festival trade fair, Live music…

The Silverstone Classic 2008 will be held on the 25th, 26th and 27th of July. The main event race days on Saturday and Sunday will be shown fully LIVE, with the exception of a 90-minute slot on Sunday afternoon when the DTM race from the Nurburgring will be shown. Races that are run during that break in the live coverage will be broadcast later that afternoon...
