2012 Race of Champions live on Motors TV !

The Race of champions was created in 1988 by Michèle Mouton and Frédrik Johnsson and will be aired live on Motors TV for the fourth consecutive year. The ROC was first held at Monthléry outside Paris and was competed primarily between the rally community. It then moved opened its entry to drivers from all forms of motor racing and took its how on the road to the Canary Island, followed by stops at Wembley, the Sade de France, China, Dusseldorf and now this year it will be held in Bangkok.

The annual Race of Champions has become a fixture on the international motor racing scene. New for 2012 is its move to the Thailand capital city, Bangkok with the Nations Cup on Saturday and the individual champions main even on Sunday and of course aired live on the High Speed Television Channel, Motors TV.

This year the cars being used for the Race of Champions include the Audi R8 LMS, Volkswagen Scirocco, Lamborghini Gallardo Super Trofeo, Toyota GT86, RoC car, KTM X-Bow and the 'Euro Racecar.
 

Title number 6 for Germany

The team of Sébastien Vettel and Michael Schumacher teamed to claim Gemray's sixth Nations Cup. The tandem, with no less than 10 world rdiver's championships  was in a league of its own against the international field of motoring nations, winning every round it raced in. The French team of Sébastien Ogier and Romain Grosjean made it to the final in Bangkok, but came up short in their effort to end the German supremacy.

Grosjean had luck on his side in the individual competitiojn, which carried him to the finals where he beat Mr. Le Mans, Tom Kristensen in a very close run. The Lotus F1 driver joins fellow Frenchmen Didier Auriol, Sébastien Loeb and Ogier in winning the prestigeous Race of Champions.
