Lotus Elise: Veteran car set for Dubai 24 Hours run



The Lotus on Track Racing Drivers Club will enter an Elise Trophy car in January's Dubai 24 hour race.

The car, owned by series co-ordinator Paul Golding, has contested over 70 Lotus events of which it has failed to finish only four. It recently took part in the Lotus 1000km race at Brands Hatch and has also had former Grand Prix racer Martin Donnelly and BBC F1 anchorman Jake Humphrey behind its controls.

The drivers set to contest the Dubai event are Elise Trophy regulars Simon Phillips and Pete Storey, 1000km class runner-up Ken Savage and Lotus Cup Europe Production driver of the season James Knight.

The team will be run by LoTRDC Technical Director Jez Braker at the twice round the clock event, which is schedueled to take palce over the weekend of 13-15 January.
