The Lotus on Track Elise Trophy was launched in 2007 in conjunction with MSVR - the racing club division of Motor Sport Vision - owners of Brands Hatch and four other major UK circuits. The series provides a safe, friendly and financially viable series for those wishing to progress from Lotus on Track track days into racing. The series is open by invitation to like-minded owners and is a mix of straight class and exciting handicap-format races.
The first season in 2007 was a phenomenal success with full grids at all UK rounds and loads of wheel-to-wheel action. 2008 looks like being even better, with two grids at most rounds and over 60 cars regularly racing at top circuits across the UK (including Silverstone GP, Brands Hatch GP and Donington Park GP), plus a visit to Spa Francorchamps in June.
The series is open to Lotus Elises and variants (e.g. Exige, 340R and 2-Eleven) and runs with 3 classes: A - Production (up to 170bhp); B - Modified (up to 240bhp); C - Super Modified (up to 320bhp). .
