Information
WSORR:
Much like its rival CORR, World Series of Off-Road Racing features bespoke racing pick-ups and buggies competing on purpose-built dirt tracks across America’s Midwest. Featuring 800hp and space frame tubular chassis’, they bear, in reality, only a slight resemblance to the production trucks on which they’re based. Vast crowds regularly flock to the open air events to witness the machines going jump for jump side by side. The championship caters for many of the existing CORR classes (although they have been re-named) in order to keep grid numbers high and costs low.

WSORR emerged as a rival off road series in 2007 after a group of enthusiasts looked for a way to utilise the old venues deserted by CORR during its expansion in to the West Coast.

The championship has grown in stature since its inception three years ago although many within the sport argue that two such similar championships cannot co-exist (as in the case of America’s rival open wheel categories before their unification in 2008).

The WSORR calendar features the sport’s biggest highlight: Crandon’s "Big House of Off-Road Racing". This subtly titled event is, to many fans, the Super Bowl of Short Track racing.
